The Last Day Before NaNoWriMo 2015

Oh my – time has flown.  Now there is only today, then tomorrow I plunge into the malestrom of writing a 50,000 word novel in 30 days – #NaNoWriMo2015. I’m feeling OK about my prep – not great, but I’ve spent a lot of time on trains and buses lately going over scenes in my head, trying to figure out the conflicts and motivations of my main characters and a few side character, and even crying over a few of the more emotional scenes I’ve thought up.  Of course, that may have just been fatigue – whoever said business trips were fun has never been on one I think! NaNoWriMo Prep – Day 1 – 15 days until NaNoWriMo

I officially have 15 days (counting today) to prepare to write a 50,000 word novel as part of National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo. I checked the NaNoWriMo website to see what they recommended I focus on.  They recommend writers focus on three things right now: Check out the NaNo Prep Webinar replay.  The webinar was held live a few days ago, but the replay is up on Spreecast. Start reviewing workbooks to help you get mentally prepared for writing your novel.  NaNoWriMo’s Young Writer’s Program website has three downloads, geared for younger writers, but still really useful. You can download a PDF copy for free, or pay to have a printed one.
